Position: Graduate Finance Assistant
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Main Duties
This role is predominately transactional sales ledger based including control checks and reconciliations, ensuring that information is accurate and current.
• Integrate daily sales data into accounting system
• Integrate remittance and cash data into accounting system
• Investigate failed integrations
• Process any manual sales invoices, returns and cash as part of account reconciliation
• Query resolution engaging with internal and external stakeholders
• Produce and distribute weekly debtor report
• Maintain relationships with key clients
• Input bank transactions, posting bank transactions and manage cash balances, being the business contact with the bank for day-to-day queries.
• Assist with daily bank reconciliations
• Assist with month end sales ledger reconciliation process
• Assist with month end balance sheet reconciliations pack preparation
• Assist with month end intercompany reconciliations
• Assist with other month end procedures and reconciliations, adhering to strict deadlines
• Assist with weekly reporting to strict deadlines
• Assist with ad hoc year end work including audit queries
• Review and support with the business stationery order
• Provide cover and support within wider finance team
• Ad-hoc work as assigned
Person specification
This role would suit a recent graduate looking for their first step into finance.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and achieve tight deadlines working in a high pressure environment
• Excellent IT literacy, ideally with strong excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to communicate with finance and non-finance colleagues
• Ability to be flexible within the role
• Manage high volumes of transactions
• Ability to be flexible within the role
• Understanding of accounting principles (desirable)
• Ascertain a full understanding of webuyanycar.com, including full organisation awareness
• To be professional and polite at all times and smart in appearance when representing the company
